Rev. Lori Burgess
Lori began her journey with the Congregational Church of
Manhasset in the summer of 2007. She is a southern transplant from Georgia who loves the Georgia Bulldogs and southern cooking. Lori and her husband Jacob moved to New York in 2006 and have made their home in Port Washington, on the north coast of Long Island. She is grateful to serve this amazing congregation for more than 16 years - and counting!
Get to know Lori
Lori received her Associate Degree from Truett McConnell College, in Cleveland, Georgia. She received her (BA) degree from Union University in Jackson,Tennessee. Lori completed her Master of Divinity in 2004 at Mercer University's, McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lori has worked in various aspects of Christian ministry,
including the non-profit sector as well as local church ministry. In her free time she loves cooking, hiking, and marathoning shows like Gilmore Girls, Friday Night Lights and anything on HGTV.
Lori's favorite activity involves spending time with her husband Jacob, their son Aaron, daughter Charlotte and their "animal kingdom" AKA (their Yellow Labs - Rosie and Max and tabby cat, Mabel)
