SPRING THEOLOGY CLASS “MEMOIRS AND MEMORY”
FEATURING MAYA ANGELOU, ANNE LAMOTT, & FREDERICK BUECHNER
Wednesday, April 2 - Noon
The English word “memoir” originates from the French mémoire, meaning “reminiscence” or “memory.” Reading memoirs can launch us on a journey of self-discovery that can lead to greater self-awareness, empathy, and personal growth. This year’s Spring Theology Class will focus on memoirs by Maya Angelou, Anne Lamott, and Frederick Buechner. Each week attendees will have the option to share personal stories we’ll call “mini memoirs.” No preparation is required.

It will be embarrassing if the Lutherans outnumber us on our own turf!
