The film includes diverse stories, from everyday pet owners  and animal rescuers to a cat-loving rapper and an adventurer with his dog, offering a heartwarming and sometimes humorous look at this universal connection.

Fall Theology Class
The History Of Christmas: From The Manger To Charlie Brown
Wednesdays November 5, 12, & 19 at 1 PM

Every year, as the days grow shorter and winter draws near, our anticipation for Christmas builds. It’s a season steeped in cherished memories and a sense of joyful expectancy. But have you ever wondered how Christmas came to look and feel the way it does in our homes, churches, and communities today? How much do we really know about the blending of diverse traditions that have shaped our present-day Christmas celebrations? Each week we will embark on a journey that begins with the stories of Christmas from the Bible—stories of angels, shepherds, magi, and a child born in Bethlehem. From there, we’ll explore how Christmas has evolved and transformed across centuries and continents. Together, we’ll delve into the origins of beloved customs: the decorated evergreen tree, the singing of carols, the festive meals, and the giving of gifts. We’ll see how Christmas found new meaning and new forms as it traveled from Europe to America, blending traditions from many cultures and faiths.

Women at the Well
Sundays, November 16 & 30 at 11:30 AM

On November 16 and 30th, Women at the Well will gather to watch the documentary "Sally." It offers an intimate portrayal of astronaut Sally Ride, focusing on her trailblazing career as the first American woman in space and the personal complexities of her life, particularly her 27-year same-sex relationship with Tam O’Shaughnessy, which was kept secret until Ride’s death. Featuring archival footage and interviews with O’Shaughnessy, family, and friends, the film balances Ride’s groundbreaking achievements against societal pressures and her struggle to be her authentic self, culminating in her founding Sally Ride Science to inspire girls in STEM. Join us as we look at the beauty of a woman following her heart and her passion in life. We’ll meet in the North Lounge at 11:30 AM. All are welcome!
