What question(s) have you always wanted to ask Jimmy? Our class will meet at 12:15 PM downstairs in the North Lounge and on Zoom. Please give your questions to Jimmy Sunday morning after church or email them to him by 6 PM on Sunday evenings. Off the cuff questions are welcome as well.

 

Youth & Family Game Night

Friday, Nov. 8 - 6:00 PM

Youth, children and families are invited to join us for our monthly game night in the Parish Hall from 6-8 PM. A pizza supper will be provided.

Katie Oppo Cancer Research Fund

Art Auction Soiree with Dinner

Saturday, Nov. 23 - 7:00 PM
Who was Katie Oppo? Katie was raised in our church, participated in our Sunday School and youth programs, and was confirmed here. In August 2010, she was diagnosed with Stage IV Hypercalcemic Small Cell Ovarian Carcinoma, an extremely rare disease. Despite intensive chemotherapy and an indomitable spirit, Katie died on April 11, 2011. The Karie Oppo Research Fund was established to raise money for ovarian cancer research. Support the cause by coming to the Art Auction Soiree with cocktails and dinner at Leonardo’s Palazzo of Great Neck. www.teamkatieoppo.org/art-auction-soiree  
 

 

Thanksgiving Sunday & Family Sunday

Sunday, Nov. 24 - 10:00 AM

As in years past, we will once again follow an order of service adapted from 17th and 18th century Congregational services. Prepare ye the way for the Stalwart Song Leader! Sunday is also our November Family Sunday. Our youth will serve as ushers and readers. The youth bell choir will perform and there will be a special message for the children. To further enhance the festivities, we'll enjoy a light lunch during Fellowship Time.

Women will gather to watch "Gratitude Revealed," a 2022 documentary. "Gratitude Revealed" takes us on a transformational, cinematic experience of how to live a more meaningful life full of Gratitude through his intimate conversations with everyday people and thought leaders revealing Gratitude is a proven pathway back from the disconnection we feel in our lives. Women of all ages are welcome.

Women will gather to watch the second half of "Gratitude Revealed," a 2022 documentary. Women of all ages are welcome.

 

Mark your calendar for the youth tree sale!

Support our youth, December 7-8 for our annual Christmas tree, roping and wreath sale! Hours are Saturday, Dec. 7: 9am - 4pm and Sunday, Dec. 8: 11am - 2pm. All proceeds go to help fund future service trips and community outreach.

 

Service Trip to Fort Worth, TX

Next summer, our youth will be heading to Fort Worth, TX, the week of June 29-July 4th. We will be serving for the 5th summer with the wonderful youth organization, Be the Neighbor. Our week of service this year is entitled "Refugee Welcome." We will be serving with organizations helping refugee families in various ways all over Ft. Worth. Space is limited and at the moment we are only offering spots to our church members. Let Lori know if your youth (grades 6 - 12) is interested in joining us for this meaningful week of service and learning together.
